6 ARALIK home page: days until the election, polling hours, upcoming dates and the reader-poll entry.

Overview

6 ARALIK is an independent election-tracking and information platform for North Cyprus's early general election and local elections, both held on 6 December 2026. It brings the candidates, the election calendar and the results into one place. We designed and built the website and set up its Instagram page.

Interactive map of 18 municipalities and 6 districts, with the election news below.

Brief and goals

Two elections take place on the same day: 50 seats in parliament and 18 mayors. The aim was to let voters follow both races without mixing them up, find their polling station, the calendar, the candidates and the results in a few steps, and see where every piece of information comes from.

Services and scope

Web Design & Development

  • Design and development of the election-tracking platform
  • Countdown, election calendar and upcoming dates
  • Interactive map of 18 municipalities and 6 districts
  • Municipality, candidate, district and party pages
  • Reader poll with security verification
  • CSV and JSON data centre and an embeddable results widget for publishers
  • Voter guides, FAQs, editorial principles and methodology pages
  • Structured data, sitemap and share images

Social Media Consultancy

  • Instagram page set-up and profile presentation
  • Highlights that mirror the site: Guide, Calendar, Municipalities, Results, About
  • The same visual identity as the site
Parliamentary election page: a summary box, the number of voters and a table of seats by district.

Creative direction

A plain, information-first language: white backgrounds, dark type and teal accents, with easy-to-read cards for the countdown, the calendar and the results. The logo's navy box and teal dot carry over to the Instagram profile.

Election guide: cards leading to the most-asked questions.

Design

The home page opens with the time left until the election, then moves through upcoming dates, the most-searched questions, the reader poll, the municipality map, election news, the mayoral and parliamentary races and an FAQ. Every municipality and candidate has a page of its own; candidate lists are sorted by surname and pages show where their information comes from. Editorial principles, methodology and political-ad rules are set out on pages of their own.

Election data centre: a source note and CSV / JSON download cards.

Development

The data centre offers the 2022 and 2025 election results as CSV and JSON, with sources and a data dictionary, and publishers can embed the 2022 mayoral results on their own sites with a light or dark widget. Pages carry canonical addresses, share images, structured data and a sitemap, and an English summary page explains the election.

Responsive design

On phones, the home page's two key questions (when do I find out my polling station, how do I vote) become full-width buttons, the days remaining stay visible in the top bar, and notices on the guide pages stand out in coloured boxes.

  • The data centre on a phone.
  • The voter and polling-station lookup guide on a phone.
